The COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) has impacted us all in the way that we are living our lives, providing services, and conducting business. We are all in this together. We want you to know that Wellspring Counseling Services is monitoring recommended practices for organizations like ours and instituting additional methods to minimize exposure to the virus in our daily routines.
Be assured that as the news surrounding COVID-19 evolves, the counselors affiliated with Wellspring will continue to focus the same care and concern for our client’s mental health and well-being.
Although Idaho appears to be a fairly low risk state, it never hurts to be prepared. There is a lot of information out there about COVID-19 and/or the coronavirus. While it is not our role to provide medical advice, we encourage you to educate yourself. Please visit the following links:
• Center for Disease Control (CDC) https://www.cdc.gov
• World Health Organization (WHO) https://www.who.int
Please know that Wellspring Counseling Services is taking the prudent and necessary precautions to do everything we can to slow the spread of the virus. In addition to our regular and normal cleaning practices we are taking additional precautionary measures in the shared common spaces as well as in individual offices. All hard surfaces will be cleaned with disinfectant regularly throughout the day. Soft surfaces will be sprayed with disinfecting spray. Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk. To minimize risk, we have closed the Play Room and have removed the toys from the lobby. Restrooms have disinfecting hand soap and paper towels available for use (It is recommended you use the 20 second guideline for hand washing).
If you know that you have come into contact with someone diagnosed with the illness, but do not have symptoms yourself, please still follow CDC guidelines of self-quarantine, as we do our part in protecting the community and those who are more vulnerable among us.
If you wake up in the morning of a scheduled in-person appointment with any cold-like symptoms (even if it “doesn’t feel like the flu”), please let your provider know and we would ask that you not come into the office. Check with your individual provider on their policy regarding late-cancellation fees due to illness during this time.
The counselors at Wellspring Counseling Services will operate within their normal business hours and offer telehealth (online video chat) sessions. Please check with your individual provider for specific details if you have questions. Most insurance plans are including telehealth in their benefits but we ask that you contact your insurance provider to verify telehealth coverage for mental health.
As we walk through these unprecedented times, let’s keep in mind that we’re part of a greater community, and that our greater purpose is to emerge from these uncertain times with the tools to build a better world.
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
