I am Adriane Meng, a licensed clinical professional counselor and owner of Mindful Expressions Counseling, LLC. If you know someone suffering from Anxiety, Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress, Life transitions, Body Image issues, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or other mental health disorders, seek help for them right away. I offer counseling sessions as an intervention to help individuals suffering from mental health and/or eating disorders recover successfully.
My Achievements and Affiliations
In 2004, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. Seven years later, I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University in Meridian, Idaho.
Since 2008, I have been a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Idaho Counseling Association (ICA). I have also been a Nationally Certified Counselor since 2012. I have pursued specialized training in the treatment of eating disorders since 2010, which has included attending the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) Annual Conference.
Delivering My Services to Bridge the Gap
Having been working for the Department of Health and Welfare Adult Mental Health Program since 2006, I’ve discovered a huge gap in services for those suffering from both mental health concerns and eating disorders. Furthermore, there’s limited access to care for people with mental health and eating disorders in Idaho. In December of 2016, I decided to bridge this gap by opening a private practice.
I continuously advocate for professional and consumer education on the treatment of and recovery from mental health and eating disorders. To further educate individuals, I have presented at the ICA conference and joined community outreach programs during NEDA awareness weeks every February.
