You sense there’s more about who you are, what you were meant to do, but deep down you are struggling with doubts and fears from circumstances that happened beyond your control or perhaps choices were made that seem to prevent you from living the abundant life you want to live. Maybe you’re someone who appears to “have it all together” but at times still finds yourself crippled by anxiety, overwhelmed and sometimes frozen. You may not even remember a time when you didn’t feel this way. Logically you know that your unique identity is your gift to the world but the emotional fallout of the past keeps you stuck and limited. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to be shame free. You’re ready to do the work to shake off the past and feel released to boldly impact the world in ways that only YOU can make. Most of all, you’re ready to live unafraid, unhindered and stand confidently in who and Whose you are. I want to help you get there. 

I offer Christian counseling and I specialize in working with women who struggle with trauma and spiritual identity concerns. Clients come to me looking for a therapist who empathetically “gets” them, a counselor who has healed from her own spiritual and relationship trauma and who has discovered who she was always meant to be. I love to help women realize the same. Clients come to me needing someone who can help get to the root of their problems and believes that therapy should be a place where you feel seen, heard and guided to receive emotional healing and discover your unique purpose. 

As a Certified EMDR Therapist, I can help you use the mind-body-soul connection you possess innately coupled with this treatment that is designed to move through the painful memories and experiences that have kept you stuck. Our brains are made to process disturbing memories so that you experience the events as being over. However, sometimes this process gets stuck and the memory network seems to stay frozen in the brain which feels like the event isn’t really over and is cluttered with negative emotions, images and beliefs. EMDR seems to kick-start the natural healing process and it does this at an accelerated rate. For more information about EMDR visit emdria.org.
