Additional Information:

People seek therapy for many reasons, but everyone seems to desire one common goal: change. In my experience as a counselor, I’ve seen first-hand how a positive, supportive counseling relationship can help a person make lasting, healthy changes in their life.

I strive to create a healthy therapeutic relationship that allows a person to:

  • Share their true, genuine self in a caring and non-judgmental environment
  • Gain awareness of their emotions, beliefs and maladaptive behavior patterns
  • Internalize the belief that their emotional experience is not “right” or “wrong”- but true and valid
  • Learn skills and tools to achieve their goals, improve relationships, change behaviors, and become the healthiest version of themselves.

I am passionate about the profession of counseling and committed to developing trusting relationships with clients. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and children with a variety of presenting concerns and issues including:

  • Depression

*Additional Information about EMDR

EMDR is a unique therapy approach in the sense that it enables clients to make significant changes in their daily life without consciously trying or even realizing that they have changed. EMDR is highly effective for trauma, but it is also very effective for low self-esteem, anxiety, relationship issues, unhealthy habits/behaviors, phobias and many other issues. The concept behind EMDR is that many current, unhealthy emotional or behavioral patterns are rooted in an earlier life experience that was improperly stored in the brain’s memory network. EMDR allows a person to “re-store” this past memory without the emotional charge and without the unhealthy negative belief associated with this memory.
